Dr. Anne Irwin was born in Vancouver and has lived on the North Shore since 2007. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine with great distinction in 1992, and completed a Clinical Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Minnesota. In 1993, she moved home and worked in several veterinary clinics. When not working, you can find Dr. Irwin on the trails of the North Shore with her husband Mike and goofy dog Wade or attending sporting events with her two sons Matthew and Kevin. We also can’t forget her handsome cat Tompkins!

Dr. Caroline Niegos graduated from the University of the Philippines in 1998. She received her Canadian certification in 2009 and worked in a mixed equine and small animal practice in Ontario for a couple of years. She moved back to British Columbia in 2011 and practiced in a variety of veterinary clinics in the Lower Mainland as a locum. Dr. Niegos has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She has 3 pets, all adopted from the SPCA- kitties Timmy and Poppy; and Brody, a standard Dachshund. When not at work, Dr. Niegos loves to travel and explore different parts of the world.

Dr. Cathy El-Hinn was born in Taipei, Taiwan.  She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine with a special interest in dentistry, surgery, and animal behaviour – she has been working on the North Shore since 2018.  Prior to obtaining her DVM, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Animal Biology from UBC.   Growing up in Taiwan, Cathy is fluent in English and Mandarin, and offers consults in both languages.  Her ultimate goal as a veterinarian is to give back to the community and educate the public about animal welfare.  When not at work, Cathy enjoys hiking, photography, and traveling.

Dr. Elizabeth "Liz" Davis, originally from Ontario, brings over 12 years of veterinary experience to our team. She completed her veterinary studies at University College Dublin and has worked at various clinics across British Columbia and Ontario as a locum. She has experience in both general practice and emergency medicine.  Dr. Davis grew up with Golden Retrievers and riding horses, she developed a love for animals and a strong commitment to their care. Her special interests include preventative care, dermatology and surgery, helping pets thrive through all life stages. When she's not in the clinic, Dr. Davis enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending quality time with her husband and two beautiful sons. 

Dr. Zuzana Tehlarova, originally from Slovakia, graduated from veterinary school in the Czech Republic and brings a global perspective and deep expertise to our team. With a special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, and surgery, Dr. Tehlarova is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to her patients. Outside the clinic, she volunteers at the Marine Mammal Rescue and enjoys spending time with her four beloved cats—Aspen, Stanley, Maple, and Larch. In her free time, she loves hiking, exploring nature, and watching movies. Dr. Tehlarova’s passion for animals and commitment to wellness make her a valued member of our team.

Meaghan's journey in the veterinary field began with her remarkable achievement of graduating at the top of her class from the Douglas College Registered Veterinary Technician program in 2010. She has worked along side Dr. Irwin for close to 16 years at two different clinics! She has two beautiful sons, who are straight-up hooligans and keep her on her toes. Meaghan enjoys spending her free time reading, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out at home or at any lake with her husband and boys.

With over 20 years of experience in the veterinary industry, Tessa's passion for animal care shines through in her exceptional work. She worked in a clinic in West Vancouver for 13 years and a Vancouver clinic for 5 years prior to joining us. Tessa took a 5 year break in between her work to raise her twin boys! At home, she has four small dogs- Pippy, Toe-fu, Udon, and Friday- who we think is part Turkey! On the weekends she enjoys spending time with her family, biking, snowboarding, and hiking.

Vicky has been working in the veterinary field since 2018. She moved to Manitoba, Canada from Northern China in 2013 where she completed her degree in Economics. Vicky is fluent in both English and Mandarin, you can often find her working along side Dr. El Hinn caring for our Mandarin speaking clients and patients. On her days off, Vicky enjoys spending time at home with her husband, adorable sons Ian and Ryan, and dog Flash!

Introducing Jadine, our dedicated veterinary nurse! With four years of experience, she moved to the Northshore from Ireland three years ago. Jadine's passion extends beyond the clinic walls—she finds solace in the stunning landscapes of British Columbia, often embarking on hikes to soak in the natural beauty that surrounds us. Her love for animals doesn't stop at work; at home, she shares her space with the charming Mable, her feline companion. Together, they unwind with cozy evenings of Netflix and chill.

Amanda has worked in the veterinary industry for the past 18 years in a number of different settings! Most recently, she decided to make a career change to the human nursing field and is in full-time nursing school. When she is not working at Lonsdale Place, she can be found hanging out with her 19 year old cat, Chanel, or exploring the Northshore!

Meet Sarah, our dedicated team member at Lonsdale Place Veterinary Clinic! With six years of experience as a receptionist in the vet field, she's also an education assistant in the Burnaby School District. Currently studying to become a counselor, Sarah's commitment to growth is evident. Outside work, she enjoys hiking in beautiful BC with her 6-year-old dog, Clyde. On her off days, she unwinds with a good book and a cup of tea. A perfect balance of professional expertise and a passion for life, Sarah is a valued member of our team.

Charlie, our dedicated team member at Lonsdale Place Veterinary Clinic, brings seven years of experience as a receptionist in the vet field and a passion for animals. Currently studying to become an accountant, she juggles her love for numbers with her love for furry friends, demonstrating her commitment to both her professional and personal growth. Outside work, she adores snuggling with her cat Freddie, hitting the gym, and hanging out with friends, finding balance in her life through moments of relaxation and social connection.

Meet Jen, an experienced veterinary assistant and dedicated customer care representative with over a decade of expertise. Outside of work, she treasures family time with her husband, son and daughter, and their two cats and two dogs. Known for her warmth and dedication, Jen's infectious smile and commitment to excellence leave a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

Shannon is a seasoned veterinary receptionist with over three years of experience in the field. When she's not greeting clients and their furry companions at the clinic, you can find her hitting the trails with her three beloved bullies or shredding down the slopes on her snowboard. With a heart for animal welfare, Shannon has dedicated over a decade to dog rescue initiatives during her spare time, embodying her passion for caring for animals both personally and professionally.

We are thrilled to welcome Gabriella to our team as a receptionist. Gabriella is a dynamic addition to our clinic, bringing her sweet smile and warm personality to greet our clients. In addition to her role at the clinic, Gabriella is currently studying to become a paramedic, demonstrating her passion for helping both animals and people. Outside of work, Gabriella enjoys outdoor hikes, embracing the beauty of nature. She has a particular fondness for desserts, so much so that she named her two adorable rabbits Mousse and Dulce after her favorite treats.
